EDIH “DIH of Moldova” showcased its services at the international “EDIH in Action” workshop during Moldova Digital Summit 2026
EDIH “DIH of Moldova”, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Republic of Moldova, participated in the international workshop “EDIH in Action: Powering Digital Transformation for SMEs”, held as part of Moldova Digital Summit 2026. The event brought together representatives of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), public authorities, businesses, and innovation organizations from the Republic of Moldova and several European countries.
The workshop provided a platform for dialogue and exchange of experience on the role of EDIHs in accelerating the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public institutions. Participants discussed the services offered by digital innovation hubs, opportunities for cross-border cooperation, and practical examples of support provided to organizations undergoing digital transformation.
Representing EDIH “DIH of Moldova”, Ion Bodrug, President of ACETI and Coordinator of the hub, participated as a speaker, presenting the opportunities that the first EDIH in the Republic of Moldova offers to SMEs and public institutions through access to expertise, advanced technologies, digital skills development, and integration into the European innovation ecosystem.
At the same time, Mircea Petic, Executive Director of ACETI, facilitated a practical group exercise together with representatives of other European EDIHs. The activity involved representatives of SMEs, public institutions, and innovation organizations, who explored concrete challenges and solutions related to the adoption of digital technologies and the development of cooperation within the European innovation ecosystem.
The event brought together experts and representatives of leading organizations from the European innovation and digitalization ecosystem, including Digital Innovation Zone (Romania), EDIH-DO (Germany), Kharkiv IT Cluster, EDIH Kyiv HiTech, and Win-Win EDIH Ukraine (Ukraine), Science Technology Park Belgrade (Serbia), and Business Accelerator UKIM (North Macedonia). They were joined by representatives of GIZ Moldova, the Digital Transformation of SMEs in Eastern Partnership Countries project, as well as public authorities and institutions responsible for digitalization in the Republic of Moldova, including the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and the e-Governance Agency.
Participation in this workshop provided EDIH “DIH of Moldova” with an opportunity to promote the hub’s services to an international audience and SMEs, while strengthening cooperation with other EDIHs and relevant organizations across the region. The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration among European digital innovation hubs in facilitating access to innovative solutions and resources needed for digital transformation by SMEs and public institutions.
The workshop further confirmed the increasingly important role of the European Digital Innovation Hubs network in supporting economic competitiveness and advancing digital integration at both regional and European levels.
