About us

The Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova (DIH of Moldova) is a project created in December 2021 by the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI), together with a group of regional, national, and international IT companies. It follows the model of the European Digital Innovation Hub from Romania, facilitating connections between startups, investors, providing access to funding for digital transformation. Simultaneously, it serves as a platform connecting companies in the region with professionals, future specialists, suppliers, and users.

During Moldova Digital Summit 2026, representatives of EDIH “DIH of Moldova” met with a delegation from Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the world’s leading providers of cloud computing services and digital infrastructure, and part of the global technology company Amazon.

The meeting was attended by Ion Bodrug, Coordinator of EDIH “DIH of Moldova” and President of ACETI, together with AWS representatives Mustafa Isik, Chief Technologist for Sovereignty at AWS, and Lavinia Alexa, Senior Enterprise Account Manager for Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The discussions focused on current trends in digital transformation, as well as potential areas of cooperation aimed at promoting AWS technologies and innovative solutions among the beneficiaries of EDIH “DIH of Moldova”. The parties also explored ways to facilitate access for companies and public institutions to international expertise and best practices in digitalization.

During the meeting, EDIH “DIH of Moldova” presented the services it provides to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public institutions, including digital maturity assessment, access to technological expertise, digital skills development, and support in connecting to the European innovation ecosystem.

Participants highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between global technology providers and local innovation ecosystems in order to accelerate digital transformation and enhance the competitiveness of the Republic of Moldova’s economy.

The meeting confirmed a shared interest in developing collaborative initiatives that support the adoption of advanced digital technologies and strengthen the innovation capacities of both the business sector and public institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
