ACETI joined the international consultations of the SCIHubs project in Romania
The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) participated in a series of consultation events organized in the framework of the cross-border project SCIHubs (Smart City Innovation Hubs), which took place in the counties of Brasov and Alba Iulia in Romania, from 6-8 May.
The activities brought together project partners, public authorities, experts and representatives from academia and entrepreneurship to facilitate the exchange of best practices and explore funding opportunities for smart city initiatives and sustainable urban mobility.
On the first day of the consultations (May 6), ACETI representatives actively contributed to the Smart City Open Innovation Workshop, held at the Iceberg Plus premises in Brasov, together with project consortium partners such as ACIT (Cluster for Innovation & Technology), ADDJB Sustainable Development (Romania) and FabLab B&H (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Discussions focused on innovative solutions applicable in the urban context, with a focus on digital transformation, energy efficiency and citizens’ involvement in decision-making processes.
During the next two days (May 7-8), ACETI took part in study visits to the Municipality of Alba Iulia and the Ciugud City Hall, where successful Smart City projects were presented, as well as models of collaboration between public administrations and local communities. Participants also visited the “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia, having the opportunity to reflect on what they had learned and to outline strategic directions for future projects.
ACETI’s participation in these activities reflects the association’s commitment to support sustainable development through the promotion of innovative technologies and inter-institutional collaboration for the benefit of local and regional communities.
The SCIHubs (Smart City Innovation Hubs) project is supported by the Interreg Danube Region Program, co-funded by the European Union.
