The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with maib, the leader of the country’s banking sector, marking an important step in developing an integrated support ecosystem for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Moldova.

The partnership’s main objective is to facilitate SMEs’ access to financing for digital transformation, as well as to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies in the business environment. Through this collaboration, the technological expertise provided by ACETI will be aligned with the financial instruments developed by maib, in order to respond more effectively to the needs of companies undergoing modernization.

The memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation focused in particular on:

  • facilitating access to financing for digitalization projects;
  • promoting digital and innovative technologies;
  • developing dedicated financial products;
  • creating a coordinated support mechanism for SMEs.

Under this partnership, ACETI and maib will carry out joint activities to promote the services offered by EDIH “DIH of Moldova” and the available financial solutions, as well as awareness campaigns on the importance of digitalization.

A key element of the collaboration is the measurement of companies’ digital intensity using the MIDIA tool developed by ACETI, whose results will be correlated with appropriate financial products offered by maib. This will enable companies to benefit from tailored solutions adapted to their level of digital development and growth objectives.

The partnership also предусматривает the development of pilot programs for SME digitalization, joint participation in national and international initiatives and projects, as well as the exchange of best practices and expertise between the two organizations.

Through this collaboration, ACETI and maib aim to actively contribute to increasing the competitiveness of SMEs in the Republic of Moldova, supporting their transition to a digital, sustainable, and innovation-driven business model.
