Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) organized the workshop “Measuring the Digital Intensity of SMEs – MIDIA” as part of an information and training event hosted by Moldova Technology Transfer Network.

The event took place on May 13, 2026, at Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and brought together business representatives, innovation and technology transfer experts, as well as organizations supporting the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.

During the session on assessing the digital maturity of SMEs, Ion Bodrug, President of ACETI, highlighted the role of digital maturity assessment in technology transfer and the adoption of innovative solutions. The agenda also featured the presentation of MIDIA, a digital intensity assessment tool developed by ACETI to measure the level of digitalization of SMEs in the Republic of Moldova.

The session was followed by the practical workshop “Measuring the Digital Intensity of SMEs – MIDIA”, facilitated by Mircea Petic, Executive Director of ACETI. The workshop gave participants the opportunity to explore how companies can assess their actual level of digitalization, identify strengths, bottlenecks, and areas requiring investment and improvement. Participants also discussed the importance of digital intensity assessment as a starting point for digital transformation, improved competitiveness, and access to funding opportunities and technological support.

Through these activities, ACETI continues to promote practical solutions that support the digital transformation of the business sector and strengthen the capacities of stakeholders involved in innovation and technology transfer in the Republic of Moldova.

The MIDIA tool was developed within the “Digital Maturity in Innovative Regions” project, implemented with the support of the Switzerland Government and Helvetas Moldova through the OPTIM Project.
