QGroup Holding — a Strategic Partner of the Energy Transition and the “SMART Technologies for Innovation” Summit
QGroup Holding, one of Moldova’s national leaders in green energy and smart storage solutions, brought significant added value to both days of the “SMART Technologies for Innovation” Summit, organized by the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI), in partnership with the Bălți City Hall, the Employers’ Association of Renewable Energy Producers “ECOEnergetica”, and the Association for Regional Development and European Policies (ADRPE), held on October 23–24, 2025.
As a partner of the summit, QGroup Holding made a substantial contribution to shaping the dialogue on the future of Moldova’s energy sector, presenting cutting-edge solutions for the production, storage, and efficient management of green energy.
The company’s representative, Cătălin Guțu, Project Manager at QGroup Holding, participated in both days of the event, addressing key topics for Moldova’s energy transformation.
During the first day, in the panel “Pilot Projects in Energy Resource Consumption Management”, Cătălin Guțu presented the project “BESS – The Solution for Affordable and Stable Energy”, explaining how Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) can balance grids and optimize energy production and distribution costs. Through practical examples and economic analysis, he demonstrated how BESS systems can enhance national energy security while ensuring a more efficient and cleaner energy mix.
On the second day, in the panel “Synergies between Energy Storage, Cogeneration, Trigeneration, and Integrated Energy Conversion (Biomass, Biogas, Solar/Cooling)”, the company introduced the concept “Hybrid Solar + BESS – How to Generate Under the Country’s Needs”, highlighting the benefits of combining renewable generation with energy storage systems. QGroup Holding emphasized that hybrid solutions can reduce energy losses by up to 25% and significantly increase domestic energy coverage, reducing dependence on imports.
Founded in 2002, QGroup Holding has built a solid reputation as a promoter of green and sustainable technologies. The company’s mission is to transform Moldova into an energy-independent country, ensuring national energy security through the development and implementation of renewable energy solutions. Through innovation and sustainability, QGroup Holding contributes to a clean energy future and the economic growth of the country, reducing external dependence and ensuring a safer and more prosperous environment for citizens.
Since 2022, QGroup Holding has successfully implemented over 150 projects, with a total installed capacity exceeding 30 MW, serving both private companies and public institutions — solidifying its role as a key player in Moldova’s energy transition.
The participation of strategic partners such as QGroup Holding in the “SMART Technologies for Innovation” Summit confirms ACETI’s commitment to advancing Moldova’s energy, digital, and sustainable transformation, demonstrating through concrete action that the country’s future is green, smart, and energy-independent.
The “SMART Technologies for Innovation” Summit was held within the framework of the ACETI 4 EDIE Project, implemented with the support of the Innovate Moldova Program, funded by Sweden.
