Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova Consortium participates in the European Summit “Accelerating Autonomy with European Frontiers” in Warsaw
The Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova consortium is participating in the international summit “Accelerating Autonomy with European Frontiers,” taking place on March 10–11 in Warsaw, an event dedicated to strengthening digital cooperation between the European Union, Ukraine, Moldova, and the Western Balkan countries.
The event brings together representatives of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), European institutions, and international organizations involved in developing regional digital ecosystems, including within the EU4Digital and DT4SME initiatives implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The Moldovan delegation is represented by the coordinator of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova consortium, Ion Bodrug, ACETI Executive Director Mircea Petic, and Startup Moldova Executive Director Olga Melniciuc. The consortium’s participation aims to strengthen cooperation with European hubs, align with European Union standards, and further integrate Moldovan startups and SMEs into the European digital ecosystem.
During the session dedicated to cross-border collaboration, Mircea Petic presented examples of regional cooperation and joint initiatives among European hubs in a workshop setting. His intervention highlighted Moldova’s experience in developing digital innovation projects and the partnership opportunities available for technology ecosystems across the region.
The summit aims to strengthen the role of European Digital Innovation Hubs as drivers of digital transformation and facilitators of cross-border cooperation. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and exchanges of best practices, participants are exploring practical ways to connect innovation ecosystems and support SMEs through access to advanced technologies, testing services, and funding opportunities.
The participation of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova in this event represents an important step toward strengthening the country’s position within the European network of digital innovation hubs and creating new opportunities for international cooperation in the field of digital transformation.
The participation of the DIH of Moldova consortium, coordinated by ACETI, was organized with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) within the framework of the Digital Transformation of SMEs in Eastern Partnership Countries (DT4SME) project.
