The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) is implementing, together with four other entities from three countries, the cross-border project – SCIHubs (Smart City Innovation Hubs). The project will seek ways in which it can contribute to the development and strengthening of research and innovation capacities and the adoption of advanced technologies in the Danube Region.
The SCIHubs project aims to encourage collaboration and innovation in the Danube Region, harnessing advanced technologies and innovative solutions to create smarter and more sustainable small urban areas and regions.
The SCIHubs initiative aims to improve the research and innovation environment in the Danube Region by integrating smart city and smart region solutions into the fabric of small urban and regional development.
This initiative is intended to help transform the way cities and regions approach sustainability, efficiency and technology integration. The project aims to address existing gaps, connect the innovation chain and pave the way for the future development of smart cities in the region.
The consortium created by partners from Romania, Republic of Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina will explore ways to connect the innovation chain in the Danube regions and will focus on facilitating the transfer of innovation and technology to public and private use cases aligned to the smart city/smart region concept.
The SCIHubs (Smart City Innovation Hubs) project is supported by the Interreg Danube Region Programme, co-funded by the European Union.
