The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI), acting as the coordinator of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova consortium, has signed the grant agreement with the Comisia Europeană for the implementation of the project that grants the Republic of Moldova the status of host country of a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH).

The signing of the agreement marks the operational launch of the project through which the Republic of Moldova officially becomes part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs Network, benefiting from a nationally positioned hub whose activities will extend across the entire country.

Earlier this year, the DIH of Moldova consortium was selected by the European Commission to become the first and, currently, the only European Digital Innovation Hub in the Republic of Moldova. With the signing of the grant agreement, the initiative now enters its full implementation phase.

The project will be implemented over a three-year period, with a total budget of approximately EUR 2 million, co-financed by the European Commission.

As an EDIH, DIH of Moldova will operate as a national platform for digital transformation, providing integrated services to small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, and other organizations interested in innovation. The hub’s activities will be carried out nationwide, impacting all regions of the Republic of Moldova and contributing to reducing digital gaps and increasing economic competitiveness.

The consortium will deliver the four core services specific to the EDIH model: ecosystem development and awareness-raising activities, Test Before Invest services, digital skills development, and access to finance. These services will be provided through a One-Stop Shop mechanism, based on digital maturity assessments and tailored development pathways for beneficiaries.

The signing of the grant agreement strengthens the Republic of Moldova’s position within the European digital ecosystem and establishes a solid institutional framework for accelerating digital transformation at the national level.
