ACETI presented MIDIA and the services of EDIH “DIH of Moldova” at an event organized by EBA Moldova
The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) participated in the session dedicated to business support services and opportunities in the context of EU integration, organized within the BSO Academy initiative on May 13, 2026, at Summit Events, Chișinău.
Organized by the European Business Association Moldova (EBA Moldova), the event brought together representatives of the business support ecosystem, partner institutions, and experts involved in the development of the entrepreneurial environment in the Republic of Moldova. The main focus of the event was business support services and the opportunities offered in the context of European integration.
During the session dedicated to digitalization tools, Ion Bodrug presented MIDIA, an innovative tool developed to measure the digital intensity of enterprises in the Republic of Moldova. He explained that MIDIA enables a structured assessment of companies’ level of digitalization across several relevant dimensions, including the use of digital technologies, the degree of process automation, online presence, the use of data in decision-making, and the level of digital skills within organizations. The tool provides a clear and objective overview of the digital maturity of SMEs, helping identify both strengths and areas that require further development.
The role of MIDIA as a practical support instrument for enterprises and business support organizations in the digital transformation process was also highlighted, contributing to guiding companies toward suitable technological solutions and increasing their competitiveness in the context of the digital transition and integration into the European market.
At the same time, ACETI’s intervention included a presentation of the activities and services provided through DIH of Moldova, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the country. The presentation highlighted services available for SMEs, including testing digital technologies, access to expertise, innovation support, and assistance in the digital transformation process in line with European standards.
The BSO Academy initiative is implemented by the European Business Association Moldova in partnership with the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the Swiss Government through Swiss Cooperation in Moldova, within the OPTIM Project implemented by Helvetas Moldova.
The MIDIA tool was developed within the “Digital Maturity in Innovative Regions” project, implemented with the support of the Swiss Government and Helvetas Moldova through the OPTIM Project.
