ACETI organizes the International Conference “Digital Innovation Hub – an important tool for Digital Transformation in the Republic of Moldova”
The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) as orchestrator of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova and implementer of the project “DIH of Moldova Steps 4 EDIH”, will hold on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, the International Conference “Digital Innovation Hub – an important tool for Digital Transformation in the Republic of Moldova”.
The event, which will take place at the Digital Park in Chisinau, comes in an extremely appropriate context for the digital transformation of the Republic of Moldova, linked to our country’s accession to the multiannual Digital Europe programme, which will help us to keep up with EU policies on digital transformation.
The conference will be opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mr Dorin Recean, with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova as the government partner of the event. At the event are expected representatives of central and local public authorities, embassy representatives, academia, members of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova, local and international partners, as well as SME representatives.
One of the objectives of the event is to establish a constant dialogue with the central public administration and development partners so that the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) operate in the Republic of Moldova as one-stop-shops that support companies and public sector organizations to respond to digital challenges and become more competitive.
All these challenges will be overcome thanks to the Digital Europe programme, which will provide strategic funding to support projects in 4 key capability areas: supercomputing, artificial intelligence, advanced digital skills and ensuring widespread use of digital technologies across the economy and society, including through Digital Innovation Hubs.
This activity will take place within the support of the project “Digital Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises in Eastern Partnership Countries” (DT4SME), funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ Moldova. Partner of the event is the Future Technologies Activity, funded by USAID Moldova, Sweden and UKAid.
