Moldova HiTech Park, announced by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, is without doubt one of the most ambitious economic development projects launched in recent years. It is not just about a 50-hectare physical park or or a significant initial investment in the range of hundreds of millions of euros, but about a real opportunity to move from outsourcing to the creation of high value-added technological products developed in the Republic of Moldova.

From the perspective of ACETI and the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova, Moldova HiTech Park has genuine potential to place the country on the regional map of innovation. For its success to be sustainable, political continuity, access to sustainable financing sources and international markets are essential, as well as facilitating connections with foreign companies for know-how transfer and investments, and, above all, strengthening partnerships between public authorities and IT business associations.

Moldova HiTech Park can become a true engine of economic transformation, with its success determined by the ability to build a functional ecosystem and by the genuine involvement of the private sector, academia and public authorities.

As stated by Ion Bodrug, President of ACETI, during the public discussions initiated by BusinessClass magazine:

“The success and sustainability of this initiative will depend on our ability to build a stable framework in which innovation, digital skills and public-private partnerships can develop harmoniously.”

ACETI and the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova support an open and constructive dialogue around this project and remain active partners in the joint effort to transform this initiative into a living and sustainable ecosystem.
