ACETI carried out another master class in the framework of the project “Edu – Tech – Agro – North – Agricultural Technology Education for the North”. The event took place on April 22 at the Agricultural Technical College in Soroca with the active participation of SAS Agro SRL (Studio of Agricultural Systems).
More than 30 students and teachers from the institution had the opportunity to attend the presentation of the most innovative hardware and software means for analysis and automation of certain processes in agricultural companies, sensors for collecting data from the field and software solutions for processing them. All of these allow for more efficient management of agricultural businesses and, therefore, a substantial increase in their yield.
SAS Agro representatives Viorel Ivanov and Dalia Arseni shared the company’s vast experience with examples of successful collaboration with various agricultural companies managing tens of thousands of hectares.
Ion Bodrug, President of ACETI, addressed a word of greeting to the participants at the event and urged them to get more involved in everything that means smart agriculture and to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by this booming field: “Agriculture can be done smart. I am very happy to see here in Soroca there is such a team and there are people who want to develop agriculture further”.
Students showed a lot of interest in new technologies, interacting actively with the speakers and asking many questions during the presentations and after the event.
The master class also laid the foundations for another AgTech club, which will be set up at agricultural technical vocational schools with the participation of students passionate about technology.
The project “Edu – Tech – Agro – North – Agricultural Technology Education for the North” is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Moldova) through the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience in Moldova Project (PCRR) and is implemented by ACETI in collaboration with development partners.
