Over 30 young people got acquainted with the technologies of unmanned aerial vehicles during a thematic meeting organized by ACETI and the Makeri Youth Club on February 21 at Tekwill Balti.
The event, entitled “Drones4F4Future: Innovative digital solutions for agriculture and tourism”, brought together more than 30 students of Vocational School No. 5 in Balti to demonstrate the usefulness and practical application possibilities of UAVs in these fields.
During the activity, students were able to learn about the parameters of different types of UAVs, as well as how these UAVs can “collaborate” with each other for a better effect on agricultural crops from Maxim Prozorovschi, a research scientist and UAV pilot at the National Center for Seed Research and Production, Selection Sector.
Among the devices demonstrated was the high-performance multispectral drone, purchased by ACETI in the framework of the Project “Edu – Tech – Agro – North – Agricultural Technology Education for the North” which was supported by the American people.
ACETI President Ion Bodrug welcomed the young people who came to the event and urged them to take seriously the possibility of becoming drone pilots, a profession of the future that is becoming more and more in demand nowadays.
The students showed a keen interest in the topic, asking numerous questions both during the presentation and after the event.
