On January 31, 2024, the General Assembly of the members of the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) took place at Tekwill Bălți. During the assembly, the annual report for the year 2023 and the activity plan for 2024 were presented, including within the framework of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova.
The meeting took place in a hybrid format, both offline and online. Seventeen members of the association participated in the activity. The assembly commenced with a welcome address from the President of ACETI, Ion Bodrug.
A special presence at the event was the interim manager of the Consulate General of Romania in Bălți, Mihai Tican. His Excellency appreciated in his speech the beautiful and productive collaboration between the Consulate General of Romania and ACETI.
“I must mention the excellent collaboration and solid partnership that the Consulate General of Romania in Bălți has with ACETI, both based on the fact that ACETI is a pioneer in the northern region of the Republic of Moldova, both in terms of digital transformation and from a European perspective, oriented towards increasing economic productivity and, consequently, improving the standard of living. I would also emphasize that Romania and the Republic of Moldova share a common interest in promoting digital transformation on both sides of the Prut River. I assure you of Romania’s involvement and support in the field of digital development, to build a common digital space that contributes to the development of solutions compatible with European standards and regulations and that facilitates cross-border interaction between citizens and entities, businesses on both sides of the Prut,” pointed out Mihai Tican.
The event continued with the presentation of the activity report for the year 2023, a prolific year for ACETI, as evidenced by the successful completion of a project, the initiation of projects in the current year (focused on the digitization of agriculture, digital transformation of SMEs, collaboration with the academic environment, business environment, public authorities, etc.), and events organized by ACETI that brought together hundreds of participants.
Additionally, the meeting featured the presentation of the Digital Transformation Strategy 2023-2030 for the Republic of Moldova, to which ACETI contributed. Another crucial point was the discussion of opportunities for ACETI members to participate in dual education programs.
We cannot overlook the active involvement of ACETI members in discussions regarding the development of the association’s activity plan for 2024, as well as other important topics, a clear sign of a lively interest in the harmonious and sustainable development of the community.
