About us

The Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova (DIH of Moldova) is a project created in December 2021 by the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI), together with a group of regional, national, and international IT companies. It follows the model of the European Digital Innovation Hub from Romania, facilitating connections between startups, investors, providing access to funding for digital transformation. Simultaneously, it serves as a platform connecting companies in the region with professionals, future specialists, suppliers, and users.

From 29 June to 3 July 2026, EDIH of Moldova participated in a study visit to the Czech Republic, bringing together key stakeholders from the innovation, entrepreneurship and digitalisation ecosystem of the Republic of Moldova.

The programme included meetings with leading organisations in the fields of innovation and digital transformation, including CzechInvest, the Czech Start-up Association, CTU EDIH, Brain4Industry EDIH, the Central Bohemian Innovation Centre, the Prague Innovation Institute, ImpactHub, StartIT ČSOB, as well as universities, technology transfer offices and testing infrastructures in Prague and Pilsen.

The visit provided participants with the opportunity to explore successful models for developing innovation ecosystems, strengthening collaboration between academia and industry, implementing the “test before invest” approach, and understanding the role of European Digital Innovation Hubs in supporting the digital transformation of businesses and public institutions.

For EDIH of Moldova, the Czech experience reaffirmed the importance of strengthening its role as a one-stop shop for digital transformation services, facilitating beneficiaries’ access to expertise, testing infrastructures, partners and cooperation opportunities at the European level.

Furthermore, the visit contributed to strengthening relationships with relevant organisations in the Czech Republic and identifying new cooperation opportunities that can support the development of the innovation ecosystem and enhance the digital competitiveness of organisations in the Republic of Moldova.
