The President of ACETI, Ion Bodrug, participated as a jury member at the hackathon “Solutions to Combat Disinformation in the Online Environment”, organized by Tekwill Bălți, where teams of young participants learned about the risks of disinformation and presented technological prototypes aimed at identifying and countering disinformation in the digital space.

The event brought together participants from the fields of IT, media, and social sciences, who worked in interdisciplinary teams to develop functional prototypes designed to enhance transparency and improve the quality of information online.

During the three days of the hackathon (February 27 – March 1), participants developed functional prototypes (MVPs), including Telegram bots for rapid information verification, browser extensions for instant article analysis, educational media literacy platforms, and artificial intelligence–based systems for early detection of disinformation.

While evaluating the teams’ presentations, the ACETI President highlighted the high quality of the projects, emphasizing the originality, ingenuity, and practical applicability of the solutions developed by the participants.

“It is encouraging to see how young people combine technology, critical thinking, and civic responsibility to build tools that can genuinely contribute to combating disinformation. Many of the solutions presented demonstrate strong potential for further development and real-world application,” said Ion Bodrug.

Through its involvement in such initiatives, Asociația pentru Dezvoltarea Comunicațiilor Electronice și Tehnologiilor Inovaționale (ACETI) reaffirms its commitment to supporting young professionals, innovation, and the development of technology solutions with social impact. The association promotes collaboration between the IT sector, academia, and the media field, contributing to the formation of a new generation of professionals capable of addressing the digital challenges of contemporary society.
