Smart Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Future, Presented by ACETI Members at the “SMART Technologies for Innovation” Summit
Three member companies of the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) – PowerIT, ClickCom, and Moldcell – presented innovative digital solutions that combine technology, green energy, and financial innovation for a sustainable future during the “Smart Digital Solutions” panel at the “SMART Technologies for Innovation” Summit in Bălți.
The session was moderated by Ion Bodrug, President of ACETI and Coordinator of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the business sector and public institutions in modernizing infrastructure and building smart communities.
Mihail Guțu, CEO of PowerIT, introduced MCrowd.md – the first digital crowdfunding platform for the energy transition in the Republic of Moldova. This national innovation enables citizens and the Moldovan diaspora to directly participate in financing solar and wind energy projects. The platform ensures full transparency and allows each user to become a co-investor in green projects, tracking their environmental impact through sustainability indicators.
Nicolae Chistruga, General Director of ClickCom, showcased the development model of one of the most dynamic telecommunications and IT companies in northern Moldova. ClickCom manages a network of over 2,000 km of fiber optic infrastructure and serves more than 25,000 users across 80 localities, continuously investing in green technologies.
The company has implemented its own photovoltaic system, reaching a capacity of 80 kW in 2024, ensuring 100% ECO energy independence for its data center, with plans to expand to 200 kW by 2026.
Liviu Pușca, representative of Moldcell, outlined the company’s strategic directions in digital transformation and energy efficiency, highlighting Moldcell’s commitment to developing intelligent, sustainable, and citizen-focused services.
The panel demonstrated that digitalization, financial innovation, and green energy can work together as the pillars of a modern and resilient economy, contributing to the acceleration of Moldova’s green transition.
The “SMART Technologies for Innovation” Summit was organized by the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) in partnership with the Bălți Municipality, the Employers’ Association of Renewable Energy Producers “ECOEnergetica”, and the Association for Regional Development and European Policies (ADRPE), and took place between October 23–24, 2025.
The event was held within the framework of the ACETI 4 EDIE project, implemented with the support of the Innovate Moldova Program, funded by Sweden.
