About us

The Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova (DIH of Moldova) is a project created in December 2021 by the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI), together with a group of regional, national, and international IT companies. It follows the model of the European Digital Innovation Hub from Romania, facilitating connections between startups, investors, providing access to funding for digital transformation. Simultaneously, it serves as a platform connecting companies in the region with professionals, future specialists, suppliers, and users.

The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) organized, including as the orchestrator of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova, the Summit “DIH of Moldova – the pillar of digital transformation”, an event that brought together ACETI members, partners and supporters to celebrate 5 years of activity of the association.

The event, held on September 24 at CITT Nortek in Balti during the third edition of the Digital Transformation Days 2024 (ZTD 2024), brought together representatives of central and local public authorities, members of the DIH of Moldova community, local and international partners, academia and private sector.

The Summit “DIH of Moldova – Pillar of Digital Transformation” comes as a platform for exchanging ideas, promoting innovations and strengthening strategic partnerships.

Among the objectives of the event were to promote digital transformation among SMEs in the Republic of Moldova, to strengthen collaboration between the public, private and academic sectors in the context of digitalization, as well as to leverage the DIH of Moldova platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices in the field of digital innovation.

Ion Bodrug, President of ACETI, thanked ACETI members and the association’s partners for their support in what ACETI has been doing in these five years.

“All that we have achieved: assistance to private companies, providing innovation solutions, providing digitalization solutions, providing assistance even to state companies, all this makes us feel fulfilled for these five years that we have covered”, Ion Bodrug said.

Doina Nistor, director of the Future Technologies Project, said that she could not fail to be present in Balti on this special occasion.

“We are very happy to be ACETI partners. We believe that innovation and digitization must necessarily happen in the region. We have a lot of businesses in the region in traditional fields like agriculture, agro-processing, construction. Everybody needs to be digital. We have a target, at EU level, that two thirds of businesses should be digitalized. The most important thing is to have regionally competitive businesses”, Doina Nistor emphasized.

The event culminated with a series of thematic discussion sessions in areas such as Smart Regions, EnergTech, eHealth, cybersecurity, telecommunications, etc, during which participants were able to share their own experience, but also to draw inspiration from the experience of others.

The Digital Transformation Days 2024 aim to promote and strengthen the digital transformation in the Republic of Moldova by organizing thematic discussion sessions, plenary sessions and networking activities dedicated to representatives of business, public authorities, educational institutions and the general public.

This activity has been organized by ACETI with the support of the Future Technologies Project (Innovate Moldova), funded by USAID Moldova, Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau and UK in Moldova – British Embassy Chisinau and supported by ACETI & DIH of Moldova members and local manufacturers. Partner of the event is the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova.
