About us

The Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova (DIH of Moldova) is a project created in December 2021 by the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI), together with a group of regional, national, and international IT companies. It follows the model of the European Digital Innovation Hub from Romania, facilitating connections between startups, investors, providing access to funding for digital transformation. Simultaneously, it serves as a platform connecting companies in the region with professionals, future specialists, suppliers, and users.

The Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova Consortium (initiated by ACETI) held its first official General Assembly meeting in the context of obtaining the status of a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH). The meeting took place on 26 February at the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) and brought together the consortium’s partners and founding members.

The event aimed to strengthen the cooperation framework among hub members, present priorities for the upcoming period, establish operational coordination mechanisms, and discuss the activity plan and responsibilities of each partner.

In his opening remarks, Ion Bodrug, Coordinator of the DIH of Moldova, welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of a coherent and efficient start to the consortium’s activities.

UTM Rector Viorel Bostan, as host of the meeting, reiterated the university’s support for the initiative and highlighted the alignment of the DIH of Moldova’s objectives with national strategies and the European Union’s Digital Agenda.

During the event, participants reviewed the progress made in consolidating the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova on its path toward becoming an EDIH, followed by a presentation of the project implementation methodology and an update on the xDIH – Cross-Border Digital Innovation Hub project.

Consortium members reaffirmed their joint commitment to developing and operationalizing the hub, emphasizing the contribution of each institution to strengthening the capacities required to deliver services to SMEs.

The organization of this event marks an important milestone in the operationalization of the Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova and in the active integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European network of digital innovation hubs, contributing to the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
