ACETI has produced a study on the needs for digital transformation of business processes in the regions
The Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies will present a study, conducted in partnership with the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA), to uncover and highlight the existing problems and needs in terms of digital transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the results of the financing of companies to accelerate the digitalization processes. The research was made possible thanks to the implementation of the project “Digital Innovation Hub – the Optimal Formula for Regional Digital Transformation”, supported by the Future Technologies Project, funded by USAID and Sweden.
The analysis comes at a time when companies, in order to become more competitive and resilient, need to conform to the rapidly changing modern reality and adapt to new economic trends.
The object of the analysis in the study were 150 small and medium-sized enterprises from various business segments, which received funding under the Digital Transformation Program in the period from August 2022 to April 2024, implemented by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova and the Future Technologies Project, funded by USAID and Sweden.
The resulting document highlights both the needs of companies in digital transformation and the bottlenecks that stand in the way of digitization of some enterprises, such as limited financial resources, lack of digital skills among employees or resistance to change.
The study also shows the results of the implementation of the Digital Transformation Program in terms of job creation. Thus, the financial support provided to the 150 companies during the implementation of the Program has contributed to the creation of several hundred jobs in SMEs in the Republic of Moldova. Most jobs were created in areas such as manufacturing, education, agriculture and health.
The presentation event will take place on Wednesday, 17 July, from 12.30, at the Balti Consulting Center of the Organization for Development of Entrepreneurship (ODA), Decebal Street 13, in the premises of the Applied Metrology and Certification Center in Balti.
